Århus model

In the course of their training, practically  every percussion student will come across the Århus Étude no. 9 by Bent Lylloff, or will have to make an intensive study of it for exams or auditions.

This work demands an "all-rounder" stick. On the one hand, it must have enough mass to exploit the full potential of a high-quality drum in dynamically powerful passages, and on the other, it must have a comfortable and flexible feel in the very soft dynamic range.

The choice of wood, weight, form of tip, shaping and length of the shaft make this stick ideally  suited to challenges in the orchestral literature.
