FLANNEL MALLET (BF 200 series)
These mallets are a revival of an old tradition – though strictly speaking, "flannel" does not apply here, since these models are wrapped in a kind of cotton fabric used for cloth mallets in the mid-20th century, before this design became known as "flannel mallet".
The sound produced by our BF200 series is that of the mallets now familiar only to older colleagues from their days as students or young professionals.
The BF200 series brings this tradition and the historical timpani sound back to our concert halls.
